Yes, but it should be possible for a specially written tool to interpret
the diff file's pages into data rows, index pages, etc. and based on
that make updates to the database restored with gbak.

But I realise that it would be rather difficult, if even possible,
because I assume the diff file doesn't contain enough info to determine
what table the page belongs to, etc.

Anyway, let's drop this. It was just a thought, that wasn't very well
thought through, albeit more so than you and Ann thought. :-)
