You could to install from :
for linux platform -
http://www.firebirdsql.org/en/firebird-2-5-1/#Linux_AMD64
for windows platform http://www.firebirdsql.org/en/firebird-2-5-1/#Win64

x86 is for 32 bit compatible processors and AMD64 is for 64 bit
compatible processors .
