Hi,
We recently deployed our application on Windows 2008 R2 machine. Following is the configuration of machine -
- 16GB RAM
- 2 Intel Xeon processors
- single 200+ GB of HDD, no RAID
- 64 bit OS
Our application works on -
- 32 bit embeded Firebird 2.1
- .Net Firebird adapter
- 32 bit application
This application works perfectly fine on 64 bit Windows 7, and Windows XP.
But as soon as we moved to 2008 R2 we suddenly faced slow performance.
Operation which took like 1 second on Win 7 and XP are now taking around 3 seconds just for reading. While writing it takes even more time.
We tried running Firebird DB in server mode as well, and tried all possible combinations -
- 32 bit, both CS and SS mode
- 64 bit, both CS and SS mode
We already went through similar issue reported earlier on this forum but none had any conclusive solutions to this issue related to Windows 2008 R2.
Any response will be really appreciated.
Thanks,
Siddharth Parashar
