ok thanks for your help, that seemed to work. The dabase resored fine with no errors. I can connect to it using isql locally and look at tables. Now i need help on connecting to it remotely. I can ping the linux(fedora core 14) server from a remote win32 client but if i try to telnet to port 3050 i get a connection refused message. I have added port 3050 to the firewall. If i try to telnet from the server to port 3050 i also get connection refused.
