Hello
I have RAD Studio 2009. I have down loaded the firebird drivers from firebird.org to add to my confusion it appears that the drivers from firebird.org are also named dbexpress as are the drivers included with RAD studio.
I have also downloaded Maro Cantu's 4-2010 examples.
It is my assumption these examples requires the firebird.org driver set. Is this correct?
I have also downloaded the RAD Studio XE Trial which has firebird drivers incorporated into dbexpress.
I got the RAD studio XE connected to a small test database but would like to get Marco's examples working using the firebird.org driver(dbexpression) working as it would save me $800 for the upgrade.
As I am quite new to this I do not know what I would gain by moving to RAD Studio XE when all I am interested in now is to get embedded firebird access.
Does anyone have any simple examples of reading, writing, and creating tables that utilize the firebird dbexpress driver set with D2009?
Thanks
Tim C.
