Hello all,
I'm having some issues with force shut down of a database. Now I'm
having these with 2.5 RC2, but before I bother firebird-devel I figure I
ask here to make sure I'm doing things right. I'm sending gfix the
following command:
gfix -shut -force 0 -user SYSDBA -password masterkey E:\data\frisdev.fdb
And get this message:
Target shutdown mode is invalid for database "E:\DATA\FRISDEV.FDB"
Now I know I'd get that error if the database had already shut down, but
I get that message even when I have open transactions on the database,
and these transactions are still open after the command has returned
(same transaction id in the MON tables). I get the same result when
trying to shut down the database via the services API.
Am I doing it wrong or is this an issue with 2.5?
System info:
Windows XP 64
Firebird 2.5 RC2 64 bit (same issue with RC1)

Mathias
