Hi,
I have Win XP Pro and Firebird 2.1.2.18118 running as super server.
The database increases in size by about 350000 records a day.
The auto sweep (default sweep interval of 20000) causes this database to slow down to the point of being none responsive around every 4 weeks (unless I manually do a backup/restore).
If I stop the Firebird server while the sweep is running, will that damage the DB?
I plan to make the sweep a manual process ie sweep interval set to 0 and do the backup/restore manually.
Advice please?
Thank you to all.
Theodore
