Sad that you have came across some many troubles and i totally understand your frustration, i'm sure i would feel the
same in that position, but pitty enough it doesn't solve your problem.
I'm sure that firebird developers do their best in fixing the problem if they have a "reproducable case" or strong
direction where to look at. As you already told that you cannot make it reproducable at your side, how can you expect
developers do and the same would exactly apply for other database engines.
Hopefully you get an "Aha" moment, so you can point at when it goes wrong, weird but may be the hardware plays a part in
here.
