1. Firebird will get listed in the database explorer of the Visual Studio
if DDEX Provider (Download from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/firebird/files/firebird-net-provider/DDEX%202.0.4/FirebirdDDEXProvider-2.0.4.zip/download)
has been set up (involves manually editing machine config files etc, help is
available on the net).
2. Connect Firebird using the conventional ADO techniques if DDEX has not
been set up.
