Subject Re: FBClient.dll 64/32 bit

Right, thanks for quick reply.

I'll just elaborate a little to be sure then.

We have a service on the server which access the database, and also application on the client that access database. Both these applications are 32bit.

However, we are looking at installing the 64 bit version of Firebird on 64 bit servers, even though the applications will remain 32 bit.

So, going by this answer, we would continue to use the 32 bit version of fbclient.dll, regardless of whether the installed Firebird is 32bit or 64 bit.

I guess the question is, is there any real benefit of installing the 64 bit version of Firebird on 64 bit servers, when the applications will be remaining as 32 bit?
