Hello,
I'm trying to install version 2.1.4 of FIREBIRD onto a CENTOS Release 5.4
64bit.
I am suppose to use version 2.1.4 because this version fixes a Mutex
problem.
On the website under Snapshots and under "Linux x86 & amd64 (daily builds)"
it shows the FirebirdCS-2.1.4.18274-0.i686.rpm
<http://www.firebirdsql.org/download/snapshot_builds/linux/fb2.1/FirebirdCS-
2.1.4.18274-0.i686.tar.gz> , what I don't see it the 64bit version of this
file. If I go to the backup locations to download from I see the following
file "FirebirdCS-2.1.4.18222-0.amd64.rpm
<http://www.dqteam.com/fb2/FirebirdCS-2.1.4.18222-0.amd64.tar.gz> ". But if
I install this 2.1.4.18222-0 version under the CENTOS, gsec complains saying
"/lib/libc.so.6: version GLIBC_2.7 not found".
If the firebird version 2.1.4.18274 is not a 64bit, how do I get the 64bit
version and/or how would I get past the GLIBC_2.7 error message without
replacing the GLIBC, which is a core part of the CENTOS system?
Thanks,
Ed Mendez
