The Blob problem was not fixed until 5.2.6 or 7 !
5.2.11 is fine, 5.3.? on linux is fine
I have 5.3.0 running 64 bit on Windows and that is fine.
I'm just shuffling up to 5.2.12 on one of the windows boxes ....

I've not got a 5.3.? running 32 bit on windows, but it should work with the
extension from the php-firebird files section
