Are there any recent changes/information regarding the above?

i.e.
I think it is more related to Windows OS but when a user bombs from an application (whilst connected to FB) it takes quite some time until windows releases the tcpip connection.

In a system that uses concurrent user connections as part of its licencing this can cause a headache.
