Looks like you missed the point. I'm talking about one template which
I'd have to "maintain". And wow, I can see big maintenance clouds
gathering on the horizon. :-)

I admit auto_increment in MySQL or IDENTITY in MSSQL are easier. Let's
say both ways have their pros and cons.

I'm currently toying around with 10g XE. Without knowing much about it
I'm convinced it's a great system. I have yet to discover, in Oracle,
the ease of use that you seem to be missing in Firebird, though. And
it has not yet occurred to me blame Oracle because I need more than a
couple days to understand it.
