Actually the ORIGINAL stuff worked on Win3.1!
The point I was trying to make WAS that the OS had no concept of reliability.
None of the data being worked on was saved to disk until an application closed.
I can remember the discussions at the time as to why there was a problem and it
was decied at the time that M$ simply could not write anything reliable ;)
