We are moving towards using Trusted authentication on Firbird to minimise the number of places where we have to set up new users.
At present our primary server is v2.1, running on a Win 2003 Server with autherntication set as mixed.
Is it possible to tell is users have connected using trusted (windows) authentication, rather than by entering their specific user name and passowrd?
I have changed programms so that they try and log in as trusted, and if that fails then log in using their user name/password.
Currently testing 2.5 on my development PC. Only issue so far is a GBAK error when restoring 2.1 backup onto 2.5 - fixed using the FIX_FSS_METADATA switch.
