Hello!
Yes, you may say that the thread is fairly old, but we encounterd the same problem with
* Firbird 2.1.3 classic on Centos 5.5
* JayBird 2.1.6JDK_1.6
We have just 4 local services that create connections to the database on the machine, but these impose a rather heavy load on the server while doing catalog data processing.
This error happened intermittently during the test, we observed one error of this kind during 16 hours of processing (and on three paralle service units that results into 48 hours processing of the whole test).
The firebird.log has the following entries at the point of time when the error message was reported
"operating system directive semget failed"
"No such file or directory"
Any hint is highly appreciated!
With best regards,
Andreas
