You also should configure tcp keep alive options
(/proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_keepalive_*) as stated on Firebird.conf to lower
values since default is 2hours
BTW, my experience has been that even with this problem with FB 1.5 on
Windows, it was worth using FB Classic -- great performance and stability.
