Hi all

Follow up to my recent message I have been doing some test between the problem computers. The basic setup is as follows:

server WinXP computer name: DEVE1
server alias.conf: C17_32787 = "C:\my database path\name.fdb"

client Win200 Prof computer name: DEVE2
client alias.conf: C17_37250 = "D:\my pathname\test.fdb"

I can never connect from the client to the server neither from the same VFP app nor FlameRobin using DEVE1:C17_32787

From the server I can always connect to the client database from my VFP app as well as FlameRobin using DEVE2:C17_37250

The below message is taken from flamerobin but has relevant FireBird error details.

Please advise what needs to be done in this regards.
