Thanks for the clarification - much appreciated.

For those who are interested, we thought that giving the security2.fdb
file group ownership of 'staff' and group rw would be ok... but that's
not necessarily true. User profiles who have migrated from earlier OSX
(pre 10.5) are not in staff by default, unlike users created in 10.5.
We are not really wanting to create our own groups and then assign users
to groups on end user machines if possible.

However - making the group owner 'everyone' with rw or or making other
rw doesn't seem all that great a solution either.
