Hello,
is anybody aware of a problem when using the services API (using a
component from IBX, but possibly it's directly related to the services
API anyway) to query the header page of a Firebird Classic database on
Linux?
I got a few reports from users using my FTSL tool which queries the
header page periodically for getting the transaction counters. The
following exception gets thrown in FTSL after a while:
EIBInterBaseError
I/O error for file ""
Error while trying to create file
Too many open files.
I'm not able to reproduce that on Windows with Firebird 2.1.2.
Possible there is something left open at the server side when using the
ServicesAPI with Firebird Classic on Linux?
