Hello to all; I have a lot of time to trouble you ;)
We face this issue rare, but our customers are notifying us with that immediately.
All terminals become very slow and sometime frozen for awhile, for about 5 minutes! After this, the terminals continue to work as well from the point where stopped. We find out that for (still) unknown reason the fbserver.exe takes too much cpu and too much memory (about 800mb plus on normal). When this “job” terminated, the cpu comes to normal level of use, the ram also comes as it was. This unknown process is not result of a query / command of a terminal. Also the log did not report anything about this.
Does anybody knows what can this be? Is this an internal maintenance? If yes, how can schedule it to do it in specific time range?
Something else, what kind of maintenance we must do on firebird database files? How often?
Kind regards
Dennis Theotocatos
