Hello there,

What would be my options to generate a GUID value inside a trigger or stored procedure? I'm starting a new project heavily based on varchar(38) GUID values. I can use any Firebird version at this time so I am open to ideas.

Sorry if this is posted often, I used the search button but could only find references to the word "guide" (Yahoo search shortcoming, I guess)
