I did not set up a database with charset NONE. I tried to cast to charset NONE and what happens then is that the character simply gets passed through. With NONE there is no information about wether a char is uppercased at all. So that's back to square one. I did tests in windows (client, IBExpert and Isql) on windows and linux servers (2.1). I never used flamerobin.
