Hi,
I have the following setup:
Firebird 2.1
UTF8 database
Text-blob with ASCII Characterset
I'm connecting with a characterset of UTF8, I'm opening
select * from mytable (including the text-blob)
From what I can see, "SQLScale" in the SQLVAR
holds the characterset ID of the column, but for the ASCII
text blob, this also returns "4" (UTF8) and not "2" (ASCII).
When retrieving and putting data, what is expected for
the engine and at the client side? UTF8 data or plain ASCII?
With regards,
