Many, many thanks for your response. Turning off firewall allowed isql.exe access. Also, allowed dBase dot prompt access. Now, since it will connect just have to get program connection working but should work.

Can't tell you how much I appreciated your response. Really like firebird. Am finally getting ready to move my dBase tables to a client/server approach. Should have done years ago.

This not spelled right (can't generate crylic letters), but
SPACEBA XOROSHAW (supposed to be thank you in Russian - guess that's where you're from.
