I think you would be a lot better off going for a web based solution
from the start if you want to support an on-line shop. I don't see
anything in SGTaller that can easily be integrated with web pages
without a lot of work. Of cause as you have found, hosted web services
tend not to provide Firebird as an option, but many php based project
offer multi-database solutions and support Firebird if you are hosting
your own server.
The next step has to be - what are you hoping to duplicate from SGTaller
on your website so we can offer a few suggestions on off the shelf
options. I use bitweaver myself ( http://bitweaver.org ) but I've not
actually converted from my 'in-line' paypal shop to the commerce package
- yet ...
