I need to understand
1. if firebird is installed on a machine (win or linux)
2. where is installed
3. which version is installed
How can I do it?

I can find where firebird is installed on windows platform reading a
particular registry key, but I don't know how can find root path is is
installed on linux...
how I can understand which version is installed?
I have to query server?
