I, too, have run Firebird under VMWare, with both linux and windows
hosts and guests, without any problems or any change in the installation
procedure. It Just Worked. I've also connected to firebird servers,
running in virtual machines, from the host and from other virtual
machines. Again, it just worked without any special hand-holding.
