Hi Daniel!

I know nothing about your problem, but since nobody else answers, I can at least give you a link:

This doesn't mention anything about not detecting already installed instances of Firebird, I just thought that maybe things like trying to install Firebird listening to different ports could avoid the Firebird servers to be aware of each other (although I have no reason to believe that you use any other port than 3050). But it is just a shot in the dark since nobody else replies.
