Hi all,
I have set a database to read_only using gfix and i also set on the
readonly file attribute under the OS (windows). However, when i inspect
the MON$READ_ONLY field of the MON$DATABASE table using "select
MON$READ_ONLY from MON$DATABASE" via ISQL program I get an error
"attempted update on a read-only database". Attempting to detach from the
database after this, ISQL hangs, attempting to access the same database
from IB_SQL also causes IB_SQL to hang, am forced to kill the fbserver
process.
1) Is this expected behaviour, 2) Is there a way to tell from within
firebird if the attached database is in readonly mode?
