Hi!
I have some Unicode client data in SQL Server 2000 (originally from
Excel) that I need to query into a certain format (selection of columns
etc.) and insert into a Firebird 2.1.0 database.
This is on Windows 2000.
What is the easiest way to do this with only "out of the box" tools +
FlameRobin 0.8.6? (Includes SQL Server's Query Analyzer)
I can upgrade to Firebird 2.1.1 if it helps.
I understand SQL Server 2000 stores Unicode strings (nvarchar) in UCS2
format, which is(?) a subset of UTF-8.
I would assume the Firebird columns should by preference be created as
varchar(n) character set UTF8...?
I have Firebird ODBC driver 1.03.00.96 installed. Should I upgrade? Use
something else?
Any and all hints are most welcome...
