Hi,
I am upgrading my application from using Firebird 1.5.3 to 1.5.5.
However, I can't get the Guardian service to install.
To simplify the problem, I uninstalled firebird 1.5.3 from my
development box (Windows XP) by running unins000.exe from the
command line. Then I manually deleted the entire firebird folder.
Then I installed firebird 1.5.5 like this:
C:\>"c:\Program Files\tmp"\Firebird-1.5.5.4926-3-Win32.exe /verysilent
/COMPONENTS="SuperServerComponent,ServerComponent,DevAdminComponent,ClientComponent"
/dir="c:\Program Files\firebird" /NORESTART
After installing, I have one service running:
Firebird Server - Default Instance
but not the Firebird Guardian service.
There is no firebird.log file.
When I use exactly the same procedure with Firebird 1.5.3,
the Guardian service _does_ get installed.
How can I get the install the Guardian service for Firebird 1.5.5?
Thanks,
Eric
