I had installed in my server the firebird version: Firebird-2.0.1.12810-
0-Win32.exe. I decided to migrate to Firebird-2.1.1.17910-0_Win32.exe.
The thing is that I uninstalled the 2.0.1 version, then installed the
2.1.1 version and ran the gbak for my existing database in the 2.1.1
version. I then proceed to restore the database with gbak also in the
2.1.1 version. After a while it hit me that this could be an issue,
that is backing up and restoring a 2.0.1 database in the 2.1.1 newer
version.
Should I be concerned about this. Could this become a problem for me.
As of today the applications are running (exept for one but we think it
has to do with that we are using the sibprovider ODBC insted of the
Firebird ODBC on this application).
I will appreciate some feedback.
