We get a lot better Backup size using the Transportable option, I just
wanted to be sure I don't lose anything from running these types of
backup?

Non-transportable = 3.5GB backup

Transportable = 890MB Backup

Windows reported DB Size = 1.5GB

I'm 99.99% sure it'll be fine, but as its quite a drop in backup size...
heh

And as always, its always good to hear it from someone else too!

Cheers

Andrew

Usually, but not always. Unless my memory is worse than usual, the
data in the backup is not compressed as it is when it's stored. A
database with lots of over sized fields and few indexes might be
bigger in a backup.
