You have automatic sweep disabled in your database. Do you run gfix
-sweep on a regular basis?
I´m not sure if it may cause of the slow insert you describe. But it´s
not good practice anyway.
The stuck transaction Sean Leyne mentioned may also me a big influence
on your problem.
