Subject Re: Vista performance problem

Hello again,

thank you for your hints:

1. File is C:\Applications\Companies\CNS.FDB
System restore is off, for all drives.
2. Connection string: was localhost, changed to 127.0.0.1, no speed-up
(from second machine it was 10.0.0.4, the same slowness)
3. Tried to turn off the firewall, no speed-up
4. Sorry I didn't try Forced Writes OFF, maybe later.

Another funny thing is the mentioned INSERT statement takes once 1
second, another time 4 seconds, another time even 19 seconds.

May it be some bad set-up of Vista itself?

Thanks, Rado
