Thanks Helen and Anderson.
I am dealing with a Windows system that is currently running FB 1.5 for
another application. We need FB 2, the app that uses FB 1.5 cant run
with FB 2.
Should it make FB 2 the standard (3050) and change FB 1.5 or visversa?
We run with FB superserver is it an issue if they run with FB Classic?
I understand how to change the setting using RemoteServicePort in the
.Conf file but not sure how to tell the Client dll where to look. I
want to use the .conf method in the file but that seems to be for when
the issue is FB and Other as opposed to FB v FB. Our app automatically
builds the TCP/IP connection string so specifying the port in the string
is out for now.
So I think that leaves me with configuring the services file on each
client machine, correct?
Sorry about the (dumb?) questions.
