yes, firebird 1.5.3.

just for linux server, the windows server is the producction server
and is running 24x7, the last Maintenance (back-up/restore) was about
a three months ago.

yes, the test was maded over same statements

on linux server try both ss and cs with the same results, windows
server run ss.

no, base and fresh installation, no graphical interface and no other
app or services.

yes, slow locally too.
