Another reason could be that you want to run an Oracle application
(eg: Compiere) but go beyond the limitations that OracleXE has.

Or don't want to install Oracle at all (given it's massive install), or
simply want to run Fyracle at much smaller hardware on which
Oracle just won't even install!
