i had a similar problem with my virus scanner delete my email programm
(because: it is a programm for massive sending emails )

most scanners have a logfile about their activity
you can check there

after upgrading to a newer version of the email prg i had no more
problems

maybe this helps , after all scanners dont check filenames only , but also
file signatures
