Hi,
Has anyone else has problems with their Firebird installation vanishing?
We are getting this more and more often (we use Windows with FB 1.5).
I think it is Anti-virus or Anti-Spyware software doing this. If you
google GDS32.dll or FBClient.dll you discover that someone wrote a
keystroke logger that uses the Firebird database (and so installs the
Firebird DLL's).
One site still had FBClient down as a threat, so I updated the post. The
other sites seemed to be ok. I was expecting this problem to gradually
go away as user's pattern files got updated, but it seems to actually be
getting worse.
The odd thing is, that once Firebird 1.5 is re-installed it doesn't get
deleted again. I've been trying for months to get some feedback as to
what happened on the system for the files to disappear, but so far
no-one has a clue.
Can anyone help to shed some light on this?
Thanks
Maya
