Are there any news regarding the Firebird Python driver
rewrite? Or regarding the old driver kinterbasdb?

The http://kinterbasdb.sourceforge.net/ site looks totally
abandoned, the forum unusable -- full of spam.

The mailing list http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/firebird-python/
has only a small trickle of messages and reporting a serious
character set problem didn't get any response.

I share the opinion at
http://www.firebirdsql.org/index.php?op=devel&sub=python
that maintenance and evolution of kinterbasdb isn't
a good solution, but is anything done regarding its
replacement?
