Hi all,
I have this FB1.5 database which I'm trying to move to FB2.1. The database
has default characater set ISO8859_1 to be able to use portuguese language
(accents and so on).
I've done a backup of it using FB1.5 and restored using FB2.1, that was all.
Since then we've started testing our system againt this Fb2.1 database. So
far so good.
But when trying to edit one of our SPs we just found no tool (IBExpert,
Flamerobin) could get the SP text -- with a Firebird error complaning about
"cound no transtate character set";
This procedure has some comments in portuguese (using accents) and that's
where I think the problem is. Other procs without comments (having accents)
have no problem at all.
I was able to get proc text only using ISQL.
So, my question is, can't I have accents inside SPs on FB2.1 or it just
won't work since the DB came from FB 1.5? The correct way to work this out
is re-creating these procedures on FB2.1??
