I have followed Marius' how-to and it is very good.

Concerning the original archive: There was no /doc directory in the
archive. All I got was a directory named scripts, a buildroot.tar.gz, an
install.sh, and a manifest.txt.

Since I wasn't interested in building anything myself, I didn't look in
the buildroot.tar.gz and I wasn't quite sure how to run install.sh.

A readme.txt at this level would be VERY helpful!
