Yes, but not everybody can do it or is allowed to do it. I just cannot
assume that my prospects have the newest Service Pack (hey, at least
it was XP!).

Up until Firebird 2.0 you could run everything on Windows 2000 (and
probably even Windows 98) without having to ask for the Service Pack.

Does anybody know if there if there a version of this vcredist crap
that does not rely on MSI? Can I write an InnoSetup script to do it?
