What is the file extension ?

XP and up treats .gdb as "special" files and make a back-up of it, could
it be possible that for some unknown reason to me, it is restoring that
"back-up" ?

I have very little experience with Vista, just used on costumers, never
encountered a problem as described by you, but I only use Vista on
client machines, the server are 2000, 2003 or Linux. But now I am a bit
worried since I installed FB 2.0 on a 2008 server last week :(

Personal note... I don't like that "Vista" thing... :-/
