I have a critical system which is running on FB 1.5. We were planning on
going ot SQL server, not because of any FB shortcoming but because of tools
like LINQ, SQLCLR, etc. SQLCLR is still a bit of sore spot for us in FB,
however with Entity Framework it appears FB.NET provider supports that.
So first step would be to go the current FB version which is 2.5?
Going from 1.5 to 2.5 I need to ensure compatibility. The existing system is
.NET 1.1 using an older FB .NET provider.
ARe there any incompatibilities? And what do I need to do to upgrade? Or
maybe the .NET FB provider works with 1.5? :)
Are there any SQLCLR plans?
