I have both installed on my system. Just install version
libstdc++.so.5. You can have both installed at the same time, since
they have different names.
You shouldn't run into any problems. Don't worry, it will not remove
your version 6 one. Just go to Synaptic Adapter and select
libstdc++.so.5 and install it. That should resolve your problem.
