Hello folks,

I am about to implement a project for managing a Police Records
Management System Nationwide. Up until now I have been using Oracle
for Enterprisewide applications. I have decided to switch to Open
Source Software, and I am considering Postgresql, MySQL and Firebird.
I really love Firebird as I use it quite a lot in Client/Server
softwares. But, I have never used it for projects of this scale. So, I
was wondering if you guys could advise me on a workflow for an OLTP +
Datawarehouse database, and if I should really consider Firebird for a
project of this scale.
